NerdWallet considers business climate and local economic health
San Francisco, CA (July 9, 2015) – NerdWallet, a consumer finance website, has conducted a study to find the best places in Indiana to start a business – and Princeton ranked thirteenth.
To determine this ranking, NerdWallet examined 99 places in Indiana with populations of 5,000 or more and analyzed the following factors:
- Average revenue of businesses
- Percentage of businesses with paid employees
- Businesses per 100 people
Local economic health
- Median annual income
- Median monthly housing costs
- Unemployment rate
Princeton ranks steadily across numerous factors examined in NerdWallet’s report. With a population of 8,620, the 882 businesses maintain average revenue per business of $630,088. Among the higher of the list, nearly 39% of these businesses have paid employees.
